One particularly warm afternoon, as I was making my rounds through the neighborhood, I noticed a "For Sale by Owner" sign in front of a charming house, its garden bursting with colors. The owner, Mary, was tending to her flowers, her dedication evident in every bloom. Introducing myself, we quickly struck up a conversation about everything from the weather to the best way to grow azaleas.
Mary was firm in her decision to sell her home without an agent's help. Her reasoning was simple: with the internet and her own efforts, she felt equipped to handle the sale. But as we talked, it became clear that while her spirit was willing, the complexities of the real estate market were a challenge she hadn't fully anticipated.
